About Katrina
Background
Katrina grew up in a small town just north of Boston, MA. She grew up in the house that her dad built with both of her parents and two brothers. Katrina loves the thrill of an adventure, whether that is horseback riding, spontaneous trips north with her best friend Andrea, long hikes with her other best friend Kayla, walking / running with her loyal cattle dog named Rebel, fun adventures with her kids or random date nights with her husband, Mike. Katrina likes to live life full throttle where not every day is the same.

Born under the balanced and thoughtful sign of Libra (October 5th), she carries an appreciation for connection, telling stories and the beauty of everyday moments. Katrina was also born in the year of the Dragon (1988), which gives her the characteristics of being charismatic, intelligent, confident and powerful.

Family is at the heart of everything Katrina does, her world is filled with love, laughter, and memories.

Not everything in Katrina's life has been rainbows and unicorns, there was a fair amount of trauma as well which is where her inspiration came from for her first book.
School / Work
Katrina went to daycare through 8th grade in her hometown in Massachusetts, then went to a technical high school in another town. She finished high school and went on to do college four times gaining:
Associates Degree - Horticulture
Associates Degree - Criminal Justice
Bachelors Degree - Disaster & Emergency Management
Certificate - Private Investigator
So, from age 18 to 36 she accomplished a lot when it came to her education.

Katrina has worked in the landscaping and construction field since 2002 where her first job was working in the floral department of the local grocery store. She went on to owning her own construction business in 2021 after gaining the confidence to do so. She ran her company with ease as she had the companies she worked for in the past. At the end of 2024, Katrina had the opportunity to chase her dream that she had since 2011 of getting into the legal field. She closed the doors to her business and began the necessary certifications and classes.
Writing
Since Katrina was little, she enjoyed writing stories and screen plays. All of which were always Fantasy related. Her brothers, Matt and Josh were also Fantasy Fanatics. Katrina's first book, "Don't Play the Woman Card", was a memoir of her life, the struggles she faced, and how she overcame them. She wrote this book to help others feel less alone in their struggles, and because the trauma and some stories from this book are used in her Fantasy stories as well.

Katrina puts her heart and soul (and names of her loved ones, people in her life, and current and past pets), in her stories. She purposely uses BETA readers to make sure her books fit exactly what her readers enjoy. Katrina also has a great team of editors from Hancock Publishing in L.A. who support her creativity, while still allowing her to make all of the decisions in her books.
